.010" Valve Spring Shim – 10 Pack


Enhance your valve train performance with this 10-pack of precision .010" Valve Spring Shims. Designed to fine-tune your valve spring installed height, these shims increase closed (seated) spring pressure, improving valve train stability at higher RPMs and under demanding conditions.


By decreasing the installed height, the spring becomes preloaded, which raises the seat pressure and over-the-nose spring pressure (maximum valve lift). This can lead to better valve control and reduced valve float, especially in performance engine builds.


Important: Reducing installed height will also reduce valve spring clearance. Excessive preload may lead to coil bind, causing engine damage. It’s critical to measure installed height and spring pressures with proper tools before installation.
