The recoil or pull start assembly comes on every industrial engine to start for your outdoor power equipment. Therefore the Starter Recoil is required by most stock or stock appearing racing go-kart classes.
The starter recoil works by prongs that engage with the starter cup on the flywheel to turn the engine over. Once started and the rope retracts, the prongs disengage the starter cup. This is different than many use to the one-way ratchet starter clutch found on many older engines.
The Red Starter Recoil (Pull Rope) is the OE replacement on the Ducar 196 & 212 Engines. The Starter recoil fits on any of our clone blower housings, so feel free to mix and match for your style. They fit any of them for 196cc 6.5hp Clone, Honda GX200, Ducar 196, Ducar/Tillotson 212E, Tillotson 196R/RS, Tillotson 212R, Tillotson 225RS, Ducar/Tillotson 212E, Predator 212, and BSP 196 and 212 Engines.
