Description

EC Big Valve Cylinder Head – Tillotson JT-207 (32mm Intake, 27mm Exhaust, 5mm Stems)

High-flow, precision valve-job head designed for performance clone and Predator engines—now with unmatched airflow and compression potential.

Upgrade your engine’s top end with the EC Big Valve Tillotson JT-207 Cylinder Head, featuring oversized 32mm intake and 27mm exhaust valves on durable 5mm stems. Whether you're building a Predator, Tillotson, or clone-based engine, this head delivers improved airflow, higher compression, and greater power potential.

Each head undergoes a high-precision multi-angle valve job, valve bowl cleaning, and seat matching on a Rotter Seat & Guide Machine, resulting in superior sealing and flow consistency. A vacuum test after assembly ensures optimal combustion chamber integrity for maximum performance.

Head Specifications

  • Intake Valve: 32mm (5mm stem)
  • Exhaust Valve: 27mm (5mm stem)
  • Valve Job: Multi-angle for high flow and precise sealing
  • Combustion Chamber Volume: ~18cc (Non-Hemi, milled finish)

Installation & Options

  • Porting: Runners are left unported for custom finishing—stays true to builder specs.
  • Optional CNC Ported Head: Available for instant high-performance installation.
  • Sold as Head Only: Springs, retainers, rockers, gaskets, seals, and valve covers are not included; sourced separately.
  • Assembly Guide: Includes step-by-step setup instructions—see EC's guide on our website: [Big Valve Head Setup Guide].

Why Choose the EC Big Valve Head

  • Massive Valve Surface: 32mm intake and 27mm exhaust offer significant airflow gains over stock 25–27mm setups.
  • Precision Valve Performance: Multi-angle valve jobs improve flow, sealing, and valve longevity.
  • Custom Builder Flexibility: Ready for finishing how you want it, or purchase a CNC-ported version.
  • High Compression Upgrade: Milled 18cc chamber delivers elevated compression—good for stock or performance setups.

FAQ

Q1: What engines is this JT-207 Big Valve Head compatible with?

A: This head is designed for non-Hemi clone engines including:

  • Tillotson 196-268
  • Predator 212 Hemi
  • Honda GX200 & 196cc Clones
  • Wildcat 223/240
  • Ducar 196/212/ 224

Note: Predator 212 Non-Hemi has larger dowel pins which require the head be machined to accept them.

Q2: Does the head come ported or unported?

A: The intake and exhaust runners are left unported. This gives builders full control to shape the flow to their needs. CNC ported versions are available separately.

Q3: What compression ratio will this head provide?

A: That depends on your engine's deck height and head gasket thickness. For example:

  • Predator Hemi with .010" gasket: ~10.48:1
  • Tillotson 212 with .010" gasket: ~12.19:1
See the full chart above for more combinations.

Q4: Are valves, springs, or rockers included?

A: No, this head is sold bare with valves installed and seated. You’ll need to source retainers, springs, rockers, gaskets, and hardware separately.

Q5: How does this compare to a stock GX200 or 212 head?

A: This head features much larger valves (32mm intake vs. 25–27mm stock), improved sealing via multi-angle valve job, and a milled 18cc combustion chamber for higher compression. The difference in airflow and power potential is significant—especially in racing applications.

Q6: Do I need special valve springs for this head?

A: Yes, if you’re running a high-lift cam or pushing RPMs beyond 7000, stronger springs (such as 26lb+ or dual springs) are recommended. Match spring pressure to cam and valvetrain setup.
