Engineered from our proven HL-304WX-19 carburetor platform for the Briggs Animal, the HL-304WX-20K EC Dominator is precisely tuned for gasoline-powered Honda GX200-style clone engines and their variants. Whether you’re racing with a Predator, Ghost, Wildcat, Ducar, or Tillotson small block, this kit delivers professional-level performance in a turnkey package.

The EC Dominator Series is the result of decades of dyno development, race testing, and national wins. Our engineers developed the only 4-cycle Tillotson diaphragm carburetors featuring the revolutionary infinite radius venturi — maximizing airflow velocity and fuel signal across the RPM range. This is not your average bolt-on; it’s a track-proven performance advantage.


Unlike generic diaphragm carburetors, the HL-304WX-20K is hand-built, machined, blueprinted, and track-calibrated to give you snappy throttle response, improved corner exit speed, and consistent top-end power under high load and heat.


Racing-Only Warning

Tillotson diaphragm carbs are not designed for recreational or idle-based operation. These are competition-only units. They may load up at low RPMs and do not maintain idle by default. Keep the throttle active to maintain clean fuel flow. Ideal for oval, sprint, and road course racing.

Fine-tuning should be done based on elevation, weather, and fuel. Most adjustments can be made to the high side needle only during race conditions — simplifying on-the-fly tuning.

Q1: What engines is the HL-304WX-20K carburetor compatible with?

A: This carb is designed for Honda GX200 and popular clone engines including Predator 212 Hemi/Non-Hemi, Predator 224, Wildcat 223/240, Ducar 196/212/224, Tillotson 196–268cc, and Ghost 212. Some engines may require intake port matching for best results.


Q2: What type of fuel should I use with this carburetor?

A: Use only pure pump or race gasoline. Do not use methanol, ethanol blends (E85/E91), or gas with additives such as top lube.


Q3: Does this carburetor idle like a stock one?

A: No. By design, Tillotson diaphragm carbs do not idle. This setup is built strictly for racing applications and will load up at low RPMs. Keep the throttle active to prevent bogging.


Q4: What are the carburetor’s default needle settings?

A:
