The Tillotson Fuel Strainer Screen is the internal fuel filter for the Tillotson carburetors that fits under the fuel inlet cap and cork gasket.
However, we highly recommend using an additional fuel filter inline as the fuel strainer does not filter out smaller debris.
The Brass Fuel Strainer Screen's mesh is coarser than the Silver Fuel Strainer Screen. The brass screen mesh is more coarse and less restrictive to fuel flow. The brass screen comes stock in the highest volume or known as double-stack or alky pump plate carburetors. The brass fuel screen is prohibited for most 2-cycle racing using gasoline. Check with your rules and carburetor listing before ordering. If you are running methanol or converting your carburetor to run methanol, we recommend using the brass screen.
