Our Return Policy

We want you to love your purchase! If for any reason you’re not completely satisfied, we’re here to help with returns — just please keep a few things in mind:

- Please contact us within 7 days after your order is delivered if you need to return something.

- You’ll need to send the item back within 30 days of receiving it.

- Returns must be approved by us first — unauthorized returns can’t be accepted.

- Make sure your item is in new, unused condition and includes all original packaging and parts.

- Don’t forget to include a copy of your receipt and a short note explaining the return.

What to Expect

- Once we receive and inspect your return, a 20% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund.

- Shipping costs are non-refundable.

- Refunds will be sent back to the original payment method you used to place the order.

Shipping Policy

Shipping Methods:
All online orders are shipped via UPS Ground, UPS SurePost, or USPS Priority Mail depending on package size, weight, and destination. Shipping charges are calculated based on the total weight, dimensions, number of boxes, and include processing, handling, and insurance fees.

Please note: All shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. Charges for orders placed via email or phone may differ from those calculated online.

Order Processing & Delivery Time:

- Standard orders placed Monday through Friday typically ship within 1-2 business days.

- Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be shipped the next available business day (usually Monday or Tuesday).

- Custom or hand-built products may require additional production time before shipping.

- In the rare event of a delay or issue preventing shipment, we will notify you promptly by phone or email.

Express & Expedited Shipping:

Note: We are currently not shipping express shipments

- Express orders (Next Day, 2nd Day, or 2-Day Shipping) must be placed by phone only.

- Orders placed after 12:00 p.m. CST will be processed the next business day.

- UPS guarantees only Next Day Air shipments; 2nd Day Air and other expedited options do not guarantee weekend or holiday delivery. Please plan accordingly.

Important Shipping Information:

- Address Accuracy: Please double-check your shipping address before submitting your order. Incorrect addresses may result in delivery delays or additional fees for rerouting.

- PO Boxes: We can ship to PO Boxes via USPS only. UPS shipments require a valid street address and do not deliver to P.O. boxes.

- International Shipping: International customers are responsible for all duties, taxes, customs fees, and brokerage charges. These fees are separate from merchandise costs and are typically collected at the time of delivery. Please review our full international shipping policy for details.

- PayPal Orders: Orders paid through verified PayPal accounts will be shipped only to the address registered with PayPal, per their policy. No exceptions.

ARC Rod Installation Instructions

Tools Needed:

• 12-point 1/4" socket
• Quality inch-pound torque wrench
• Outside micrometer
• Dial bore gauge or plastic gauge
• Lubricating oil

Step 1: Measure Crankpin Diameter

Using the outside micrometer, carefully measure the crankpin diameter in several locations to check for roundness and size. The diameter should be 1.188" ± 0.0005".

• If out of round by more than 0.0005", consider replacing the crankshaft.
• The crankpin surface should be smooth to the touch, free of scoring or roughness.

Step 2: Identify Rod Orientation

When disassembling the rod, note the two dots located next to the separation point between the beam and cap on the side with the part number. These marks ensure proper alignment during reassembly.

• The side with the engraved part number always faces the side cover of the engine.

Step 3: Prepare Rod and Bearings

• Thoroughly clean the rod, bearing surfaces, and serrations to remove any debris or contaminants.
• Install the rod bearings carefully, ensuring they seat fully.
• Lubricate the rod bolt threads with oil to ensure accurate torque readings.

Step 4: Initial Bolt Tightening

• Hand tighten the rod bolts using the 12-point socket.
• Using the torque wrench, tighten the bolts to 60 inch-pounds.
• Then, alternate tightening each bolt in increments of 20 inch-pounds until you reach 150 inch-pounds.

Step 5: Measure Bearing Clearance

• Using a dial bore gauge, measure the bore diameter opposite the parting lines.
• If using a plastic gauge, install the rod on the crankshaft and follow the plastic gauge instructions carefully.
• Target bore measurement: 1.191" ± 0.0005".
• Ideal bearing clearance: approximately 0.003" (acceptable range: 0.0025" to 0.0035").

If your clearance falls outside this range, please contact support at 800-521-3560 for guidance.

Step 6: Final Assembly

• Apply oil generously to the rod bearings, crankshaft journal, and wrist pin.
• Reinstall the rod and torque the bolts to the final specification of 170 inch-pounds.

Important Note:

Improper torque on rod bolts is one of the most common causes of rod failure. Always follow the torque specifications carefully to ensure engine reliability and performance.
