Blueprinted Tillotson Gen 2 Kart Racing Engine
The Tillotson 225RS engine is designed as a factory-controlled spec class. Like any engine, these are mass-produced to fit within a reasonable tolerance and are quickly assembled, leaving room for improvement through blueprinting. After years of requests, we are now offering a blueprinted Tillotson 225RS engine.
There are three significant steps taken in a built Tillotson 225RS engine.
1. Blueprinting. Each engine has a factory blueprint that includes specific tolerances; in this case, the rule book serves as the blueprint. We take the engine and either match factory stock components or modify parts to align with the most advantageous tolerances of the factory blueprint for optimal performance.
2. Engine Break-In. One of the most critical steps is breaking in the engine to properly seat components, enhance the ring seal, and build a protective layer against wear.
3. Tuning. After the engine is blueprinted and broken in, the next step is to fine-tune the engine’s fuel and ignition systems.
The result is an enhanced engine offering greater performance than a standard off the shelf. Most importantly, you benefit from our decades of experience and support for your engine.

We do not warranty or support stock engines or any engines not blueprinted by EC. Issues with a stock engine must be handled directly with Tillotson Racing at [email protected] or +353 (87) 905-4453
We do not forward messages, emails or phone calls to Tillotson; you will need to contact them directly for support, e.g. tuning, setup, installation, parts or engine failures, etc.
We offer support(tuning, troubleshooting, diagnosis) for our blueprinted engines only. Since this engine is sealed and we can not access the bottom end, engine or component failure in the bottom end must be addressed by Tillotson Racing directly.
Engine Oil
Race Oil - Maxima Racing Oil RS 0w-20 - 14.5oz or 430mL
DO NOT USE Tillotson Break-in or Engine Oils in any of our blueprinted engines. Contact us before ordering if your track is teching for Tillotson engine oils.
The Gen 2 features a higher rpm limit of 7500rpms, and the cylinder head has been decked to increase compression.

Use only the EXF5212 Spec Header Kit for this engine. DO NOT USE the older short style headers or any other restrictive exhaust.
