The DynoCams 308 Camshaft is one of the most proven and versatile cam profiles available for Honda GX390 and big block clone engines. Known for its excellent balance of midrange torque and strong pulling power, the .308 profile has earned its reputation as the go-to camshaft for baseline and modified performance builds.


If you’re unsure where to start when building a GX390 or clone engine, the 308 camshaft is the ideal foundation, delivering broad power delivery while maintaining excellent drivability in demanding racing applications.


Proven All-Around Performance

The .308 profile excels in the midrange while continuing to pull hard through the upper RPM range, making it well-suited for modified classes, pulling applications, and aggressive performance setups. This camshaft provides predictable power gains and serves as a reliable benchmark when stepping up to more aggressive cam profiles.


Built for Durability

This camshaft features a hard-welded lobe design, significantly improving wear resistance and extending service life in high-RPM environments. Due to its aggressive nature, upgraded valve springs are mandatory to ensure proper valvetrain control and reliability.

    Larger valves and port work will raise the power band and extend top-end power. Big block engines naturally produce substantial low-end torque, so increased valve size and airflow will not negatively impact bottom-end performance.
