Description

EC 1.4:1 Billet Aluminum Ratio Rockers – Non-Hemi GX200 / Clone / Tillotson / Predator

The EC 1.4 Rev Rockers are high-performance billet aluminum roller rocker arms engineered for Non-Hemi cylinder heads—including Honda GX200, Clone 196cc, Tillotson 212/225, Wildcat 240, and Predator 212/224 Non-Hemi small block engines. Designed for serious racers and builders, these rockers are built to support higher RPM, aggressive cam profiles, and oversized valve trains, with precision features that improve durability, valvetrain geometry, and top-end power.

Now redesigned and upgraded, the Rev Rockers include needle bearings and an oversized roller tip, offering superior friction reduction and stability for today’s most demanding race engines.

Key Features:

  • 1.4:1 Ratio Geometry – Increases net valve lift, duration, and acceleration—especially at mid to high cam lift (.150"+). Improves flow and throttle response.
  • CNC Billet Aluminum Body – Aircraft-grade aluminum construction delivers strength without excessive weight, maintaining stability at high RPM.
  • Needle Bearing Pivot – Reduces friction and wear at the trunnion mount. Eliminates premature bushing failure, especially under poor lubrication.
  • Oversized Roller Tip – Ensures better rocker/retainer clearance and smoother valve tip contact at high lift. Roller reduces wear and distortion.
  • Titanium Lash Adjuster Nuts – Lightweight and strong for reliable lash setting under racing conditions.
  • Reinforced Arm Structure – Thickened rocker tip area enhances rigidity for aggressive cam and spring setups.
  • Secured Shaft Mounting – Retention clips and brass washers stabilize the rocker on the shaft, minimizing distortion and ensuring smoother, truer valve motion.

Engineering Benefits:

  • Improved Valve Train Geometry – More accurate valve movement that tracks closely to the cam profile, boosting overall engine efficiency.
  • Minimized Deflection – Shaft-mount design and added rigidity reduce unwanted flex under load, maximizing lift and duration.
  • Valve Tip Longevity – Hardened roller tip reduces friction and prevents mushrooming or galling, even with extended race use.

Application Notes:

  • Designed specifically for Non-Hemi cylinder heads (not compatible with Hemi versions).
  • Compatible with most standard 3/8" pushrods and 5.5mm or 6mm valves.
  • Ideal for builds using aggressive camshafts, oversized valves, or requiring improved retainer clearance.
  • Recommended for use with Maxima Racing Oil Assembly Lube during installation.
  • Lash caps are generally not required unless using titanium valves, which require protection from galling.

Performance Tip:

Increasing lift and acceleration via rocker ratio may require higher spring pressures than stock cams or valve weights suggest. Always verify valve train setup, including spring seat pressure, coil bind, and retainer clearance, when upgrading rockers.

FAQ

Q1: What engines are the EC 1.4 rockers compatible with?
A: These rockers are designed for Non-Hemi cylinder heads on engines such as the Honda GX200, Clone 196cc, Tillotson 212/225, Wildcat 240, Ducar 224 and Non-Hemi Predator 212/224. They are not compatible with Hemi-style heads due to geometry differences.

Q2: What is the advantage of the 1.4 rocker ratio?
A: A 1.4 ratio increases valve lift and acceleration without changing the camshaft. This results in more airflow and power—especially when paired with high-lift cams and performance cylinder heads.

Q3: Why are needle bearings better than bushings?
A: Needle bearings reduce friction and wear on the pivot point, increasing longevity and performance. They also reduce the chance of rocker arm failure due to improper lubrication or high RPM stress.

Q4: Do I need lash caps with these rockers?
A: Only if you're using titanium valves. Stainless steel valves typically do not require lash caps because they resist galling. Always ensure proper lubrication during setup to prevent valve tip wear.

Q5: Can I run these rockers with stock springs?
A: Likely not. Increased lift and acceleration from the 1.4 ratio may require upgraded valve springs. Always match your rocker arms with the correct spring pressure based on cam profile, valve weight, and intended RPM.

Q6: What’s included in the kit?
A: The EC Rev Rockers include:

  • Billet 1.4 ratio rocker arms
  • Oversized roller tips
  • Needle bearing pivot with secure shaft
  • Titanium lash adjusters
  • Brass washers and retaining clips
