Description

The EC Evolution Performance Cast Cylinder Head isn't just changing the game; it's rewriting the rules.

Now installed with dual valve springs and titanium retainers for up to .400 lift.

The EC Evo Head is a Big Valve Non-Hemi Head with 33mm Intake and 27mm Exhaust with 5mm Stems for the Honda GX200 and many clones, including the Predator 212, Tillotson 196-212-225, Wildcat 223, and Ducar Engines.

When EC designed the Tillotson Blocks, the goal was to increase the performance and durability of modified engines while lowering the build cost. The EC 236cc engine kit was a manifestation of that goal, but it still lacked one area that was still relatively expensive. For racers to compete in 14.5ci open engine kart classes, billet heads were considered the best offered, whether stock or modified.

The Evo was to answer the cost of those cylinder heads, but it wasn't the only goal. The Evo allows you to use the same intake manifold, exhaust header, rocker arms, valve cover, valve springs, and retainers currently on the market for Honda, Predator, Tillotson, or Clone Non-Hemi Heads. So not only are you not replacing those parts, but you now have more options for those components. Most billet heads offer only one ratio, which may limit your cam or spring choices.

There are also situations "Billet" heads are not permitted, and within minibike drag racing, there are "cast only" racing and records. These classes will often allow extensive modifications to those heads rather than allow billets. As we said, the EVO is here to rewrite the rules and change the game. The EVO is a cast head that rivals the performance of a billet head.

FAQ

Q. Does the EVO Head come will springs, retainers, or rocker arms?

A. The Head only comes with the valves. The head is made to use billet non-hemi roller rockers like our Rev Rockers. Valve spring pressure and design are determined by the rocker ratio, camshaft profile, and in some cases cylinder head temperature. Rather than include a spring that has a spring pressure too high or low or does not support the lift, we do not include them with the head.

Q. What is the valve spring installed height?

A. 0.850, this install height may change your valve spring seat pressure depending on your spring. We recommend this head to professional engine builders that can adjust the install height for your springs and set your rocker arm geometry.

Q. What Intake and Exhaust does the EVO Head use?

The EVO uses stock Honda/Clone or Predator Hemi Bot spacing and locations. The intake will need to be port matched to the cylinder head for optimized performance. EC will offer intakes specifically for the EVO Head.

AMAZING
I built a 236 tillitson with a 265 cam and EC billet side cover and I was using a 14cc head that had 25/27 valves and heavily ported, 24mm carb. I considered it pretty strong. Well I upgraded to the EVO head and rev roller rockers and the power it makes now with no other changes is absolutely insane. This head was worth every dollar. I'll now be building another 236 with a "big" cam and carb to really see what this head can do!!
