Description

759 – Steel Straight Spindle / Pitman Arm for Front Steer Go-Kart & Race Mower Builds

The 759EC Steel Straight Spindle Arm is a versatile component designed for use in front steer spindle assemblies, typically found in racing lawnmower and go-kart front axle kits. This arm forms part of the steering loop, connecting tie rods to the spindles or steering shaft, depending on its application.

Originally intended for EC’s front steer spindles, this straight steel arm can also be cut, drilled, or modified for custom pitman arms or chassis-mounted tabs. Builders often repurpose it to fabricate mounting points for steering shafts, linkages, or support hardware.

Three pre-drilled holes allow for Ackerman angle adjustment and changes in steering response. Each hole is designed for use with 3/8” heims or tie rod ends, giving you flexibility when dialing in your handling setup.

FAQ

What is the 759EC straight spindle arm used for?

It’s designed for use in front steer spindle assemblies—typically in racing mowers and go-karts—but can also be cut or modified for pitman arms or chassis-mounted tabs.

What size hardware does it accept?

The three pre-drilled holes are designed for 3/8” heims or tie rod ends, offering compatibility with most standard steering setups.

How does the three-hole design help with steering?

The holes allow you to change the Ackerman angle and steering responsiveness. Mounting the tie rod in different positions alters the geometry for tighter turning or more stability.

Is the arm already finished or raw steel?

Typically, it's shipped as raw steel. You can paint or powder coat it to match your chassis.

Can this be used as a pitman arm?

Yes, many builders cut and re-drill this arm to make custom pitman arms for their steering shafts. It's a flexible base for DIY steering solutions.
