FAQ

1. What engines is this 3.308" connecting rod compatible with?

It fits most Honda GX200-based clone engines, including:

  • Box Stock Project 196
  • Tillotson 196R / 212R
  • Ducar 196
  • Speed Kart 196
  • Wildcat 223 / 240
Always confirm crank and wrist pin measurements before installation.

2. Is this connecting rod legal for AKRA and NKA racing?

Yes, it complies with both:

  • AKRA: Cast rod, 2.350–2.375" length, 133g minimum weight
  • NKA: No billet, 2.350" length, 133g minimum weight
The rod may require minor honing, which is allowed by both rule sets.

3. Will this rod fit a Predator 212 or 224 engine?

No. This rod is not compatible with:

  • Predator 212 Hemi & Non-Hemi (uses 1.188" crank pin)
  • Predator 224 (different wrist pin)
It also doesn't fit Tillotson 225/228 or Ghost 212 due to larger wrist pins.

4. What are the rod specs?

  • Length: 3.308" (center-to-center)
  • Material: Cast aluminum
  • Weight: ~139g
  • Small End: ~0.709"
  • Big End: ~1.1825"
  • Oil Clearance: 0.002"–0.005"

5. Why choose a +.005" over stock rod length?

The +.005" longer rod maximizes the legal length within most race rulebooks, optimizing piston dwell time and improving combustion efficiency — giving racers a legal performance edge.
