The Supra-Verter is a premium, all-in-one CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) Torque Converter Assembly designed as a high-quality aftermarket reproduction of the renowned Comet TAV2 Torque Converter kit. Built for performance and durability, this kit is perfect for go-karts, mini-bikes, and other vehicles powered by small industrial-based engines ranging from 3HP to 7.5HP.

  • Broad Compatibility: Works with all 3/4-inch bore 30 series torque converter kits, allowing you to use your existing belt, driven pulley, and belt cover.
  • Engine RPM Considerations: Best suited for high-RPM engines running Stage 2 or higher upgrades. Stock motors operating around 3600 RPM may not see performance gains and could experience reduced top speed. The Super 30 truly excels at 4000+ RPM.


Innovative Asymmetrical Torque Converter Design

The Supra-Verter features an advanced asymmetrical torque converter system — with non-symmetrical sheave faces: the movable sheave face at 18° and the stationary sheave face at 2.5°, combining for a total angle of 20.5°. This design offers:

  • Optimized Alignment: The unique configuration allows the torque sensing cam to be mounted outboard, aligning the final drive chain on the same side as the PTO, simplifying mounting and improving drivability.
  • Reduced Sheave Travel: Less sheave face movement is needed to lift the belt compared to symmetrical systems, enabling higher belt diameters inside the drive clutch at high RPMs.
  • Enhanced Overdrive Capability: Achieves up to a 0.90:1 ratio (10% overdrive), surpassing standard CVT 1:1 limits for improved speed and performance.
