Description

EC 223cc Stroker Rotating Assembly for Predator 212 Hemi

Unlock more displacement and power from your Predator 212 Hemi with EC’s purpose-built 223cc stroker rotating assembly.
This kit is engineered to overcome the common challenges of stroking a Predator Hemi, which features a shorter deck height than most Honda-based clones. Traditional 58mm stroker setups often create piston and rod fitment issues in this block—but our kit solves those clearance and geometry problems with precisely matched components.

Perfect for builders who want to increase performance in Predator-only classes, this rotating assembly delivers 223cc of displacement with improved internal balance and reduced friction, all while maintaining reliability at high RPMs.

What’s Included in the Kit:

Wildcat 223cc 70mm Flat-Top Piston Assembly

  • Designed for clearance between crank counterweights and piston skirt
  • Lightweight construction for faster revs and reduced rotating mass
  • Includes piston rings, wrist pin, and circlips

EC Pinnacle 3.271” Forged Rod

  • Precision-forged for high-RPM durability
  • 0.030” shorter than stock for zero-deck height with the Wildcat piston (some block-to-block variance expected)
  • Dipper design eliminates camshaft interference, easing installation

Wildcat 58mm Stroker Crankshaft

  • Same crank used in the EC 236R and Wildcat 223 engines
  • Designed for maximum stroke in Predator Hemi blocks
  • Compatible with Honda/Clone taper flywheels (Hemi flywheels will not work)
  • We recommend pairing with EC SK200 or SK201 Rev Wheels for best results
  • May require clearance around cam lobe or compression release area, especially with 196/212 cam cores

Compatibility & Notes:

  • Specifically designed for the Harbor Freight Predator 212 Hemi
  • Not recommended for Predator Non-Hemi or other 212/223 clone variants
  • Intended for Predator-restricted race classes seeking added displacement
  • For a fully assembled option, the Wildcat 223cc engine offers greater reliability, better parts, and often a lower cost than piecing together a stroked Predator Hemi build

Important Installation Note:
Engines using 58mm crankshafts—such as the Predator 224, Wildcat 223, and others—may require clearance machining for the camshaft’s compression release to clear the crank weights. Using a 224 cam core can simplify installation.

Why Choose This Kit?

  • No guesswork on piston/rod/crank compatibility
  • Race-proven components tuned for the Predator Hemi block
  • Ideal for Predator-only race classes needing extra displacement
  • Designed by EC for builders who want more performance, not more problems

FAQ

Q1: What does this stroker kit do for the Predator 212 Hemi?

A: It increases the engine’s displacement from 212cc to 223cc, providing more torque and horsepower. It’s perfect for Predator-only racing classes where maximum performance is needed without swapping engines.

Q2: Will this kit fit a Predator 212 Non-Hemi or other clones?

A: No. This stroker kit is specifically designed for the Predator 212 Hemi. Due to different deck heights, it is not compatible with Non-Hemi or other clone engines like Wildcat or Ducar blocks.

Q3: Do I need to modify the engine to install this kit?

A: Minor clearance may be required, especially around the camshaft's compression release area to accommodate the 58mm crankshaft. Using a cam with a 224 core helps simplify installation.

Q4: Does the piston sit flush with the deck?

A: Yes. The 3.271” forged rod is shortened to ensure the flat-top piston sits at zero deck height (some small variance may occur due to block casting differences).

Q5: What flywheel should I use with the Wildcat 58mm crank?

A: The crankshaft uses a Honda/Clone tapered flywheel. Hemi flywheels will not work. We recommend EC’s SK200 or SK201 Rev Wheel for best performance and compatibility.

Q6: Why would I choose this kit over a complete engine?

A: If you're racing in a class that requires a Predator-branded engine, this kit lets you stay legal while gaining performance. If branding isn’t restricted, we recommend the Wildcat 223cc engine, which offers stronger internals and better overall value.
