The Tillotson 196R originally came with the PK-1B carburetors, but before the 196R was built, EC designed the PK-1A for Tillotson for the 196cc box stock classes. Here, you will find all the parts for the PK Tillotson carburetors and many other stock-style carburetors.
PK-1A - The original PK carburetor was designed when box stock classes had more restrictive jetting rules. These carburetors were intended to run richer, especially off the low-side circuit, while complying with legal regulations. Unfortunately, the rules would open up, allowing more tuning, which prevented the carburetor from gaining an advantage in the market. Today, these are still good carburetors and are often preferred for restrictor plate classes.
PK-1B - These are a revised version of the PK carburetors with slightly improved airflow to match the flow capabilities of the best blueprinted Ruixing brand carburetors. These carburetors are controversial since many rules have made using them a grey area, and their legality is dependent on the track. These carburetors are very close out of the box for tuning on senior or adult unrestricted 196cc classes.
PK-3A—This is the same carburetor as the PK-1B but is jetted for the Tillotson 212R with a factory exhaust and air box.
