The 91A-251 Tillotson White Fuel Inlet Cap / Strainer Cover is a genuine OEM replacement part designed for use on gasoline-only applications. This cap fits under the fuel inlet assembly on most Tillotson HL, HW, HR, HB, HM, HD, and HX series carburetors and serves as the cover for the internal strainer screen.

Unlike other color-coded caps, the white fuel inlet cap is made of standard plastic that offers limited chemical resistance. It is not suitable for ethanol, methanol, or other exotic fuels. This cap comes factory-installed on many standard-volume Tillotson carburetors used in gas-powered equipment.


In terms of flow, the white cap is more restrictive than the blue Tillotson cap or the EC Red Hi-Flow cap. For racing applications or high-performance builds—especially those running methanol—EC Carburetors strongly recommends upgrading to the EC Red Fuel Cap for improved flow and greater durability.
