Safety Warning:

This flywheel is rated for stock RPM use only (= 5,000 RPM). It is not designed for high-RPM or racing applications. Despite false claims by some sellers, this cast iron flywheel is not safe at 10,000 RPM. Over-revving may result in catastrophic failure, serious injury, or death.

Always follow proper installation procedures. Use a verified torque wrench and inspect the crank taper and key fitment prior to use.

FAQ

Q1: What does this flywheel do?
A1: This flywheel supports electric starting through a built-in ring gear and generates power for charging batteries or running lights when used with a compatible charging coil (sold separately).

Q2: Will it fit my engine?
A2: It fits engines with a tapered crankshaft such as:

  • Honda GX200
  • Tillotson 196–268
  • Ducar 196–224
  • Predator 224 (Non-Hemi)
  • Wildcat 223/240
It does not fit Predator 212 or Predator 224 Hemi engines.

Q3: What RPM is it rated for?
A3: This cast iron flywheel is designed for stock RPM use only—do not exceed 5,000 RPM. It is not safe for high-performance or racing engines.

Q4: Can I use this on a race engine?
A4: No. For any engine expected to exceed 5,000 RPM, use a billet aluminum flywheel rated for high RPM to ensure safety.

Q5: Do I need to buy a separate charging coil?
A5: Yes. The flywheel includes charging magnets only. A separate charging coil is required to complete the charging system.

Q6: Is installation difficult?
A6: Installation is straightforward if you're familiar with small engines. Make sure the crankshaft taper and key are clean, use a torque wrench, and follow the engine’s torque specs for flywheel nuts.
