Description

Wildcat 460cc 92mm Bore 10-Bolt Reinforced Heavy Duty Block

The Wildcat 460cc Heavy Duty Block is built for extreme big-block clone applications where strength, durability, and clearance matter most. Featuring the strongest big-block clone crankcase currently available, this block incorporates the same proven reinforcement strategy used in Wildcat small-block engines—scaled up for high-displacement, high-output builds.

Unlike standard big-block clone cases, the Wildcat 460 includes reinforced webbing on both the upper and lower jug areas, significantly increasing rigidity under high cylinder pressure and high RPM operation. The added structural support makes this block an ideal foundation for highly modified engines, including builds using stroker crankshafts, larger rotating assemblies, and aggressive cam profiles.

With improved internal clearances and a 10-bolt side cover design, the Wildcat 460 block offers superior strength and stability compared to traditional 7-bolt GX390-style clone blocks. This makes it a top choice for racers and engine builders pushing the limits of big-block clone performance.

FAQ

What makes the Wildcat 460 block stronger than other big block clone blocks?

The Wildcat 460 features additional webbing and reinforcement on both the upper and lower jug areas, similar to Wildcat small-block designs. This significantly increases rigidity under high cylinder pressure and high RPM, making it stronger than standard 7-bolt big block clone cases.

Is this block compatible with Honda GX390 aftermarket parts?

Yes. The Wildcat 460 block is compatible with most GX390 and big block clone aftermarket components, including flywheels, camshafts, crankshafts, and cylinder heads.
Note: This is a 10-bolt block, so a 10-bolt side cover and gasket are required.

What bore size and head gasket does this block require?

This block uses a 92mm bore and requires a 92mm bore head gasket. Using the correct gasket is critical for proper sealing and reliability.

Can I run a stroker crankshaft in the Wildcat 460 block?

Yes. The Wildcat 460 was designed with improved internal clearances, making it well-suited for stroker crankshafts and larger rotating assemblies commonly used in high-performance builds.

How does the mounting bolt pattern compare to a GX390 or Predator 420?

The engine mounting bolt spacing on the Wildcat 460 is wider than a Honda GX390 and most 7-bolt clone blocks, including the Predator 420. The mounting slots measure approximately 8.5" long by 3.5"–4" wide.

Are cosmetic blemishes normal on these blocks?

Yes. Due to the size, weight, and machining process, minor cosmetic blemishes may occur during shipping. These do not affect performance, strength, or reliability.

Can I return the block if it has cosmetic blemishes?

No. Cosmetic blemishes are not grounds for refunds or exchanges. All blocks are inspected to ensure full structural integrity and performance before shipping.

What type of builds is this block best suited for?

The Wildcat 460 block is ideal for:

  • High-horsepower racing engines
  • Stroker big block clone builds
  • Kart racing, drag racing, and pulling applications
  • Extreme performance builds where reliability is critical
