The XR-28 is a 28mm Diaphragm (Tillotson-Style) Carburetor designed strictly for kart racing and other small engine performance racing. The XR-28 is an all billet carburetor with modern updated features, appearance, and performance to replace the Tillotson HL-360, HL-380, and similar diaphragm carburetors.

The XR-Series is an updated version of the X-Series to distinguish itself as its own design and brand from the Tillotson with unequal performance. From start to finish, the XR-28 is a race-bred carburetor developed by the crew at EC with over 50 years of experience and most of their history developing many HL Tillotson carburetors. Rather than compromising with stock factory components, the XR-28 is more fluid with its design, allowing it to adapt to a continuously changing performance market.
