Description

EC 1500-IV 1.5 Ratio Roller Rockers – Briggs Intek V-Twin

Take your Briggs Intek V-Twin to the next level with EC’s 1500-IV Rev Rockers—a premium set of 1.5 ratio roller rocker arms engineered for high-performance builds. Designed to outperform stock and bushing-style rockers, these arms feature full needle bearings, precision-machined billet aluminum bodies, and 62rc hardened roller tips to handle aggressive camshafts, high-RPM applications, and elevated spring pressures with confidence.

These rockers will require valve cover spacers to fit under the valve covers.

Key Performance Features:

  • 1.5 Ratio Upgrade – Increases lift vs. stock 1.3 ratio
  • Billet Aluminum Body – Lightweight, rigid, and heat resistant
  • Full Needle Bearings – Superior to bushing-based designs
  • 62rc Hardened Roller Tips – Wear-resistant for longevity
  • Titanium Adjuster Nuts – Lightweight with superior strength
  • Red Hard Anodized Finish – Prevents oxidation and adds durability

Installation Requirements & Notes:

  • Set valve lash to 0.005”
  • Requires custom valve cover spacers for clearance
  • Must use a high-quality, oil-soluble assembly lube
Recommended: Maxima Racing Oil Assembly Lube
  • Pre-oil the rocker arms before startup to protect the valvetrain

Engine Build Checklist:

  • Verify valve spring installed height
  • Check for coil bind at full lift
  • Ensure retainer-to-valve guide clearance
  • Confirm piston-to-valve clearance
  • Degree the camshaft properly
  • Measure and set rocker arm geometry
  • Cut push rods only after geometry is set

Important Notice:
These rocker arms are not bolt-on components. They require expert-level engine building knowledge, precise measurements, and custom-fit solutions. Improper installation or clearance assumptions can cause rocker failure or engine damage.
No returns or warranty after installation.

Perfect for experienced engine builders pushing the limits of the Briggs Intek V-Twin platform, the 1500-IV Rev Rockersdeliver unmatched durability and performance where it counts.

FAQ

Q1: What is the rocker ratio of the EC 1500-IV roller rockers?
A: These feature a 1.5 ratio, an upgrade from the stock 1.3 ratio, offering increased valve lift and performance for aggressive cam profiles.

Q2: Will these rocker arms fit under the stock valve covers?
A: In most cases, no. The 1500-IV rockers may contact the valve cover. A custom valve cover spacer must be fabricated for proper clearance.

Q3: Are these bolt-on rockers?
A: No. These are not bolt-on components. Installation requires engine-building expertise, precision measuring tools, and proper valvetrain setup.

Q4: What engines are these compatible with?
A: These rocker arms are designed for Briggs & Stratton Intek V-Twin engines, commonly used in performance, racing, and high-output builds.

Q5: What is required during installation?
A: You must check:

  • Valve spring install height
  • Coil bind at full lift
  • Retainer-to-guide clearance
  • Piston-to-valve clearance
  • Rocker geometry
  • Push rod length (after geometry is set)
Always pre-lube rocker arms before initial startup.
