5200 RPM Rev-Limited Ignition Coil – Honda GX200 / Clone / Predator Engines
The 5200 RPM Rev-Limited Coil is an ideal solution for spec-class kart racing and recreational use, offering consistent RPM control to enhance safety, prolong engine life, and level the playing field. Specifically tuned for Junior 1, Junior 2, and Cadet classes, this coil helps regulate speed in lightweight driver categories where over-revving can be dangerous and unnecessary.
Designed for Controlled Junior Racing
When paired with restrictor plates like the Green (.425"), Yellow (.475"), or Purple (.500"), this coil significantly reduces overall engine speed while still utilizing the strong low-end torque of OHV engines. It’s a key component for track operators and race organizers looking to manage kart speed without sacrificing drivability or torque.
To further fine-tune performance and maintain safe speed levels, gear ratio or tire circumference rules can be added alongside this coil and restrictor combo.
Performance & Setup Recommendations:
- Optimized for use with stock cast aluminum flywheels, such as the 138210105.
- Avoid use with high-strength aftermarket flywheels containing neo magnets, as prolonged time on the rev-limiter will damage the coil.
- Use single ground strap spark plugs(recommended Torch K7RTI or similar fine wire iridium spark plugs), gapped between .027"–.034".
- Avoid multi-ground plugs or excessively tight gaps, as they can cause RPM surging beyond the coil’s tolerance.
- For spec racing, spark plug tech is recommended to ensure fairness and prevent rule circumvention.
